Leighton Buntain

Dr. Leighton Buntain is Global Co-op Programs Manager in the Office of Professional Practice. He has over 15 years work experience in international education both in the U.S. and abroad. Originally from Canada, he completed his Ph.D. in Curriculum Studies at Purdue in 2021. His research interests include study abroad learning experiences, global teams and teamwork, and global skill development. Having lived and worked abroad for many years, he values the importance of language learning, global work experiences, and international collaboration. Leighton manages the GEARE program, mentors students who go abroad, and works to expand institutional and industry partnerships for engineering students seeking opportunities across the world.
